Oases - General
In the beginning of the game, the oases are owned by wild animals. Oases can be raided. You need quite a big army to raid an oasis with profit.
During the initial game phase, the oases will spawn nature troops only once. If you kill all the animals, the oasis will be free until end of the server’s beginner protection period (at the start, depending on the server speed - without extension), after this moment nature troops can spawn again in the oasis.
The animals in an oasis multiply slowly. The less there are, the faster they spawn. It should be possible to get profit from an oasis by raiding it with a few hundred troops and a hero. You can see how many and what animals there are in an oasis without scouting by clicking it via the map.
There are two types of oasis per resource. Type 1 produces only one resource. The other type produces a resource and additionally crop. When you have conquered an oasis, it gives a production bonus to the village from where you conquered it only! The increase applies to the base production of the village and not the actual one.

Conquering natural oases
You can conquer oases with a hero, when you attack the oasis repeatedly with the hero the conquered oasis is added to the village from where the hero attacked. Remember that an oasis has to be in the small map around the village (center your village!) to be conquerable. Another way to say it, is that it has to be in a radius of 3 squares around your village. You need a hero's mansion level 10 for 1 oasis, level 15 for a second oasis and level 20 to conquer third oasis.
The example below marks "your" village in black and the oases you are theoretically able to conquer in red. Please note that the map shows more than the radius you can conquer oasis from - the radius where you can conquer oasis from is therefore marked in blue. Hint: You can only have 3 oases per village.

You may have recognised that oases are marked with different signs - first of all they give you an overview about the resource bonus they donate (one lumber would for example mean that it is a 25% lumber oases). Beside this the signs also tell you whether the oasis is already conquered or not: oasis 1 in the screen shot below is not conquered (it shows a green border around the indicator for the typie of the oasis) and oasis 2 in the screen shot below is conquered (it shows a red border around the indicator for the typie of the oasis).

Conquering/attacking player-owned oases
To conquer an oasis from another player, you have to destroy the defence and attack with the hero one or more times. If the defender owns 3 oases, you only have to attack 1 time with your hero. If the defender has 2 oases, you have to attack 2 times. If the defender has only 1 oasis, you have to attack 3 times, then the oasis is yours.
Hint: Heroes do not vanish after annexing an oasis like administrators (Senator, Chief,Chieftain) do after conquering villages but will continue to exist like before.
Raiding an oasis will cause your troops to plunder up to 10% of the resources from the village owning the oasis. The resources in the player owned oasis will regenerate in 10 minutes. Thus attacking an oasis 7 minutes after a first raid has occurred one will mean you can only grab 7% of the resources from the owning village. Raiding your own oases will see your own villages lose the resources, for a net return of 0 resources.
In order to defend an oasis against raids you can reinforce it with troops which can be sent back via the Rally Point of the owning village and are fed by this village.
Oasis Loyalty
The loyalty of oasis increases by 1% every 30 minutes, and cant be influenced by a player. If you conquer the oasis from another player, it is returned to 100% loyalty immediately.
Release an Oasis
If you own an oasis and want to release it, you do so by pressing the red cross to the left of the oasis description, inside the hero's mansion. It then takes about 2 hours to release the oasis at speed 3x and 6 hours to release it at speed 1x.
If your village is conquered the oasis are released and would need to be retaken, even if you conquer your own village.
